Recycled Plastic Necklace Tutorial
*I wish that I'd washed and dried the plastic more carefully. It's very hard to get water spots off of a lot of small discs.

  • How to make a plastic necklace. Recycled Plastic Necklace - Step 1
    Step 1

Count out the beads you intend to use. You will need the same number of plastic discs, plus one more. Use a small cardboard circle as a rough template. Cut in roughly oval organic shapes and vary the sizes somewhat.

  • How to make a plastic necklace. Recycled Plastic Necklace - Step 2
    Step 2

At the narrower end of each disc punch a small hole.

  • Step 3

Arrange your discs in a row by size, starting with the smallest ones at each end and working toward the middle (the middle disc being the largest in size).

  • Step 4

Cut cord to length (allow enough to be able to tie a bow in the back).

  • Step 5

String the beads and discs starting with the smallest (or 1st if all your beads are of a uniform size) and alternating bead, disc, bead, disc until complete.

  • Step 6

Place a knot before the 1st bead and after the last bead to hold them all in place.
