earrings made from melted bottles!
these earrings are really fun to make, and the best part is that each one never turns out exactly the same. :)

  • Step 1

first, take your plstic bottle and cut two rectangles/any shape you want. make sure the size is a little bigger than the size you want the earrings to be, because the fire will distort and misshape it.

  • Step 2

take your tweezers and make sure you have a firm grip on the end of one of the pieces of the bottle. now, take your lighter and hold the plastic above the flame, moving it slightly to achieve the shape you want. Do the same for the other piece of bottle.

  • Step 3

wait a little bit for the bottle pieces to cool, then take your safety pin and create a hole on each one where the wire will go through. once the holes are created, cut two pieces of wire, not too long (but remember, you can cut it shorter later), and slip each piece of wire through its respective hole and secure. then create the loop for the ear part, and you are done! hope you enjoy the earrings!
