  • How to make jam. Homemade Strawberry Jam - Step 1
    Step 1

Go to the strawberry patch to buy your fresh picked strawberries. Or if you don't have one of those around your local fruit stand, store, farmers market, garden...whatever fits your fancy! Wash them first of course.

  • Step 2

Bust out your chopper. We have one of those quick chop things (I forgot I had until unpacking a kitchen box I missed in Feb. haha ) but I am sure you could cut them up into small pieces and mash them with a fork after putting them in a bowl to catch the juices.

Chop away to your likeness of texture.

you can add sugar if you want, but we chose not to. The strawberries from the patch are SO juicy and fresh nothing needs to be added to them! Completely 100% fresh fruit jam! I love that about this.

    Step 3

Next eat it how you wish. We made PB&J's with them. This weekend we will do completely homemade lemonade with strawberries. Yummy! Or mix in your ice cream, make strawberry freezer pops.

You know, I have no clue. sorry. We just use three to four strawberries at a time for single use. I wish I was more help with that question, but if you were to ask how long it last once its made, no longer than three minutes! haha

How long does the jam last for? Or if you wanted to preserve it?
