Wanna start a tattoo, rainy day, holiday, anything fund?Well kick start it with this glitter coin jar!.
I've just moved into my new house and boy am I learning everything costs a lot in this world :). So I decided that I should start saving a lot more and one of the ways to save would be to create a cute money jar. Why go out and buy an expensive one when I'm trying to save :). So I purchased some PVA glue and glitter from the £ shop and saved a used pasta sauce jar. And this is what I got :) Enjoy!

  • How to make a money bank. Glitter Coin Jar! - Step 1
    Step 1

First soak the jar if it has a label on to get it off nice and easy. And then with a screwdriver and some force make a coin slot in the lid. The metal is usually very thin so it should be pretty easy. And then gather the rest of your materials.

Squeeze the glue into an old container or cup like me :).

Take your paintbrush and paint the glue all over coating the whole lid.

Now comes the fun and messy part. Sprinkle your chosen glitter all over the glue covered lid, until the lid is completely smothered in glittery awesomeness. I would then advise you leave this to dry overnight and then do another coat of glue and glitter. And then leave that to dry overnight again. OPTIONAL - You can also make a mixture of PVA glue and a splash of water and wash it over the lid to set the glitter in place.

Lé Finished product! :) This is a project that you can get really creative with i. e add bows, different colour glitter, paint, labels saying what type of coin jar it is for example 'Tattoo fund'.
