Sooo proud!
Vest top sewn onto black jersey fabric band (the band sits just under the bust/above the waist, is about 3 insches wide) and the flowery part is an old smock top type thing (if that's what it's called), just with the straps cut off and sewn onto the bottom end of the black band. Looks quite simple, and I guess it was pretty straightforward in a line sewing, but since I'm not used to the sewing machine actually working for me (I did sew part of it by hand though as well) it went a bit wonky at the top! But when I wear it, you can't tell anyways, so overall its great! It was such a great feeling to finish off the project, I can't wait to get inspired to make another dress!

Looks very summery. Great upcycle and good job on your first sewing project.
