    Step 1

    Cut out your pattern shapes. You should have one shape from pattern #1 with a negative heart in the middle, & two shapes from pattern #2. With embroidery thread, sew your bias tape in a loop onto one of your shapes from pattern #2.

    Sew your shape from pattern #1 onto the top of your second shape from pattern #2. Only sew along the inside of the negative heart shape. Tie off.

    Stitch into the negative heart space through the back. Then feed your alphabet beads through your needle onto the thread, & stitch through the front of your shape. Tie off.

    Place your first heart shape from pattern #2 (the one with the loop) behind your second shape. The loop should be in between the two pieces. Sew the two pieces together using a overcast stitch. Do not sew around the heart entirely - leave an opening of an inch or two.

    Fill your heart with the polyester filling. Finish stitching the entirety of the heart, closing it off. Tie off.
