Father’s Day bottle sleeve gift
Decorate an existing bottle sleeve with paper and transform this ordinary cardboard object into cool gift wrap for a bottle of beer or wine, for example. In this DIY project, you’ll also be using various types of cardstock. Cutting, slicing and folding the paper will create a little jacket for the bottle sleeve. This gift will make any father feel like a king.

    Step 4

Paint the rim of the lid in the same colour you are making the collar of the shirt and leave to dry thoroughly. Next, stick one of the strips of cardstock onto the rim of the lid. It won’t quite meet up, but this will be resolved when you stick the collar on. Now stick the cut-out circle onto the top of the lid, too.

    Step 12

Punch out a 5.2cm hexagon and draw out a tie (see image). Draw a perpendicular line down from the outer corners of the hexagon you cut out. The line should be about 20cm long. The space at the bottom between these lines should also measure 5.2cm. Measure and mark 15cm from the base of the hexagon. From this line, mark 3cm up on both sides, and mark the point of the tie below. From the base of the hexagon, now draw a line to this 3cm point. Now cut out the tie.
