Dalmatian spot trainers
Just a few simple steps can take your plain old kicks and transform them in to funky footwear.

    Firstly you will need to remove the laces (keep them to one side if you want to put them back in)

    then stuff your trainers with the tissue paper.

    Squidge out some of you black paint onto a plate or like me a scrap of freezer paper

    then dip your brush into the paint and make your first spot.
    If you are nervous start with the tongue of your shoe as it will be mostly hidden when you replace the laces, so you can practice on there.

    Make your spots varied and random, different sizes and shapes, check out Google for inspiration for spot shape and size if you are unsure.

    Keep going until your trainers are covered in spots.The next bit is boring, leave them to dry.

    When they are completely dry you can pop your laces in.

    I chose bias binding because you can fray the edges out to give a tatty look

    Take out the tissue paper and cut the ends of your binding or ribbon at an angle and thread them through the holes.
