In need of an emergency wrist amputation...?
This could also be made into a choker or anklet or even part of a Halloween costume! But I prefer it as a bracelet x

  • How to make a bracelet. Cut Here Bracelet - Step 1
    Step 1

After measuring your elastic, tie a knot on one end (making sure to leave some space to tie it when you're finished), thread a bead, and tie another knot to keep it in place. Then leave a gap about the same length of one of the beads, tie another knot, thread another bead etc...
Do this until you are in the middle of the plastic.

  • How to make a bracelet. Cut Here Bracelet - Step 2
    Step 2

Cut a little pair of scissors out of shrinky dink (mine was around 3-4cm long and came out around 1cm long) and make two very small holes in the middle - this is where you will thread it later. Colour it in with permanent marker and bake it in the oven! (baking instructions are on the packet) You may also want to go over the edges in marker when it comes out of the oven.

  • How to make a bracelet. Cut Here Bracelet - Step 3
    Step 3

Thread the elastic up through one of the small holes you made and down through the other and slide it down to the middle of your bracelet.

  • How to make a bracelet. Cut Here Bracelet - Step 4
    Step 4

Carry on knotting and threading beads until it is the required length (make it tight!)

  • How to make a bracelet. Cut Here Bracelet - Step 5
    Step 5

Tie the two ends together very tight! You want it to look tiny so that when you put it on it stays straight and doesn't bunch up!
There you go! Just don't literally cut off your wrist...

Cool! I've seen people draw that on their wrist, but never actually seen it as a proper bracelet! Just one question...where do you buy the ShrinkyDink from?

I got mine off amazon, and would recommend just buying black shrinky dink rather than colouring it in as I did here. You can probably get it in hobbycraft or John Lewis craft section as well though x

I am going to make the Cut Here bracelet. But i have a question: Can you use felt instead of shrinky dink? Already thanks.

I think with felt, because the scissors are so small they would just rip. Also, when washing your hands you would get it wet and it would go yucky. But you can always try! Maybe if you had an idea how to strengthen and protect it - good luck x

I like this.. but can't help but think about all of those teenagers who cut their wrists... Not the best design for a bracelet Happy

Oh yes I hadn't thought about it that way, it was meant to be more frankenstein-y. Hopefully having fun with a nice hobby like crafting will prevent some teens from hurting themselves like that?
