Not good with liquid liner? Here is your solution!!
For some reason I am absolutely horrible with liquid liner. I can never get a straight line no matter how much I practice. So in my frustration I decided to try it with eyeshadow and tape. And it works every time.

I hope everything I say makes sense, if not just ask!

    Gather everything you need.

  • Step 2

    Put a little bit of eyeshadow primer on you upper lid along the lash line.

    Put a little piece of tape on the sides of your eyes. You can angle it however you want.

    Take the eyeliner brush and pick up some black eyeshadow. Tap off excess.

    Step 5

    Start the cat eye by putting the brush right where the waterline and lash line meet. Press it on your eye to make a line as long as the brush itself.

    Now, starting at the top of the line drag the brush at a downwards angle until you get to the inner corner of your eye.

    Now take a little eyeshadow brush and fill in the cat eye.

    Remove the tape, clean up your face, and enjoy!!

I was never good with eyeliner. until, that is, I watched a particular video on youtube. don't know why but from then on, I could do it perfectly! its was weird! the video is called How To Apply Liquid Eyeliner and its by Julia G. Hope this helps!

I always had the same problem! I would try to free hand it then I would over correct and it would just look really weird! I'm glad you like it and I hope it works out for you!

Love it! Going to try it tonight! Thanks for the how-to! Happy I'm constantly struggling to perfect the cat-eye look... It's like a mixed bag with that style. It can wind up too chunky and thick or too thin and odd looking.
I remember when I first started doing the cat-eye three years ago my cousin told me, "You look like that Rehab girl." He meant Amy Winehouse. I bet your how-to will save me from another "Rehab" reference! XD Thanks!
