  • How to embroider . Blue Bird - Step 1
    Step 1

    You will need...

    Fabric:
    10 x 10" (25x25cm) white cotton/linen fabric

    Threads – DMC six-stranded cotton:
    347 Very dark salmon
    702 Kelly green
    704 Bright chartreuse
    726 Light topaz yellow
    825 Dark blue
    827 Very light blue
    B5200 Snow white

    Needles:
    Embroidery: size 7 and 9
    Milliner: size 7

    Hoop:
    6 inches (15cm)

  • Step 2

    Print the design provided in the download and transfer it on to the fabric using your preferred method.

    Step 3

    Embroider the bird according to the embroidery instructions, by following the pattern key:

    Back 825 (3)
    Back = embroidery stitch
    825 = DMC thread colour
    (3) = number of strands

    Then embroider the flowers and leaves on the left.
