Crochet a pretty top for your fashion doll using the puff stitch!
This crochet fashion doll top is worked from the bottom-up, and then one final edging row is done on the bottom. It uses two snap fasteners in the back.
For this top, you will need to know how to single crochet, double crochet, how to do chains, how to make a puff stitch, and how to make a picot.
*Fits the 11 1/2" Barbie doll by Mattel.
Abbreviations:
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
sc2tog - sc 2 stitches together
st - stitch
sl st - slip stitch
FL - front loops
f/o - fasten off
Special Stitches:
*puff st - (yarn over, insert the hook, draw yarn through the stitch) x 3 into the same stitch, you should have 7 loops on your hook, draw yarn through all 7 loops.
*picot - ch 3, slip stitch into 3rd chain from hook
*start dc - work dc st until you have only 2 loops on the hook left for that st

Optional Edging:
