    Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 20 minutes

    Meanwhile, tear the bread.

    After 20 minutes remove the pot from heat and add the bread pieces.

    Let it soak for 10 minutes.

    Sieve the broth into another vessel(let it stay there for now) and blend the solids to a fine paste)

    Return the paste and the broth back to the original pot and keep it back on heat.

As long as you add the milk and the cornflour the creamy texture is guaranteed.

Can I use 35% fat cream instead of the heavy? If so, may I use 1/2 cup or more?
