The Daily Face
Need a cool Halloween costume, but don’t have a ton of time to put one together? Wel- come to my world every year on October 30! The snow leopard is your solution—it’s one of the best looks and easiest costumes I have in my repertoire. This makeup is surprisingly easy to apply because it uses techniques (such as a smoky eye) that you’ve been learning about through this whole book and products (black gel liner) that you should already have in your makeup bag. Plus, real leopard spots are never perfect, so you don’t need to be too precise with your own spots. Pair this look with cat ears and an all-black outfit and you’re ready for that party you were supposed to be at an hour ago.

  • How to create a face painting. Snow Leopard Makeup - Step 1
    Step 1

Mix shimmery white cream face makeup with a smaller amount of opaque white face paint. (You can blend cream products on palette paper, which can be found at any art supply store.) Using a sponge applicator, apply the mixture so it covers your face and blends evenly onto your neck. Your application doesn’t need to be super-opaque.

Using a small angled brush, apply black gel liner. Since this is a costume, you’ll want to make your liner thicker than normal, with an even more dramatic wing.

    Step 3

Using a tapered blending brush, apply dark graphite eye shadow to the lid and in the crease, just as you would if you were creating a smoky eye. Again, make the eye more dramatic than you would with your everyday makeup.

With the small angled brush that you used for your liner, brush black gel liner lightly into your eyebrows, filling them in. Apply mascara.

    Step 5

Using opaque black face paint and a small flat rounded brush, apply leopard spots to the forehead, temples, and cheek- bones. Apply as many or as few spots as you like.

Use the small flat rounded brush to fill in the underside of the nose with black face paint. Bring the black down slightly below your nose into a point.
