Based on Reversible Cuffs With D Ring Corset Closure by Co-Goth Frack
When I saw this, I absolutely HAD to make one for myself.
Though I just used whatever I had on hand already.. Is it still a version if only the basic idea is the same..?
The cuff ended up being made with a scrap of black elastic (it was already the correct width), that I hand-sewed a cute bit of ribbon on top of. Then I folded the raw ends under and sewed them down. I was too lazy to use a zigzag stitch, so of course the elastic was not stretchy after all of this. But the cuff has a corset closure anyway, so no biggie.
Sadly, my local craft stores didn't carry D-rings this small, so I used some large jump rings instead. Close enough. And to lace it up, I just used a piece of ribbon.
Since I used stuff that was already laying around, it didn't actually cost me anything to put this together. Except time, of course.
My cuff ended up not being reversible, but oh well. Maybe I'll make another one that is reversible. This is a really cute and easy project, and a good way to use up small scraps.
