How did you find CO+K and why did you join?
While searching for crafts to make. It looked like a fun website. But it has been so so long ago so I can't really remember. I think it has been 10 years.
What projects are you currently working on?
Too many. I am sewing new liners for our new guinea pig cage my boyfriend made. It's huge so that's going to be a tough one. Besides that I am also following a workshop where I am making a hat! It's been fun and I hope I can make a lovely hat for me to actually wear. And I am also etching a glass as a Christmas present for a friend of mine.

What does your craft space look like?
Like a mess, haha ^^'. It has been so busy lately. In the living room I have a desk with my supplies to do polymer clay and make jewelry. My sewing machine stands there too on a small old sewing table (with wheels)which belonged to my grandma. In a room upstairs, which is both a closet, a junk room and a craft room, I have my other supplies for painting, paper, drawing, sewing, ...
We are building our house in February and there I will have my own craft room, so I don't take up the living room anymore :D.
Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?
Hmm, tough question. I guess a pencil? Everything starts with a drawing or measurements on paper. So I'd have to say pencil and paper.
What do you craft along to?
I put on a Netflix series, Ru Paul's Drag Race is one of my favourite shows to craft to.
Besides that I listen to music, mostly musicals, and podcasts (History Chicks is a big favourite of mine)

Favorite Craft
It depends which season it is and how I am feeling. I like to paint but rarely do it. But when I do it's great to make your mind empty and focus on the paint and the brush. I love playing with polymer clay, make new patterns or animals and turn them into jewelry. Third one is sewing. I like to be able to make things I can really use in daily live, not just to use as decoration.
Valerie's Top Crafts
If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?
Soap making! I am learning about zero waste and so I don't buy plastic soapbottles anymore, but blocks of soap. I think it would be a fun craft to do, and to produce something you can use with your own perfume and scent.
Who are your crafting heroes?
People who craft with other materials then me. Especially crochet people, how do you understand that pattern, I tried do many times and, it's still Chinese to me. Oh and people who are crafting with rubbish, and turn it into something you can use again so the way to the garbage bin isn't coming anytime soon.
