How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

I think someone had mentioned CO+K on another craft forum. It's been a few years but I think that's how I found you! I love art and crafting and CO+K looked like a really cool place to be able to share my stuff with other like-minded people.

What projects are you currently working on?

Right now, I'm trying to finish up redecorating the art room and I have some mini books I'm working on. I also have a papier mache ham that I'm making for Halloween, for a Sam I Am costume. I'm also designing my husband's tattoo.

What does your craft space look like?

I am fortunate enough to have a room dedicated to art! It is in a constant state of evolution because I get bored and mix things up a bit in there. I'm a messy artist and the room reflects that. I would describe it as "Pee Wee's Playhouse Meets Art Studio".

I just finished painting one wall with blackboard paint and framed it by pasting strips of watercolor painted paper with liquid starch. The walls are plastered with stuff I love-- pictures I've printed out from Tumblr blogs, funny cards I've received, obligatory picture of Rob James-Collier, and pictures the kids in my classroom have made for me. There are rolling bins for my supplies, an antique desk, and a 1950's enamel-top table a friend gave to me. Also, it only has a subfloor since we ripped up the carpet. Apologies for blurry pictures.

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

That changes depending on whatever craft phase or obsession I'm currently going through. I think I probably use paint the most.

What do you craft along to?

I listen to The Aquabats, The B-52's, The Police, Blondie, Joy Division, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, CSS, The Pixies, The Ramones, Bruce Springsteen, and Social Distortion the most. You might have guessed I grew up in the 80s.

Favorite Craft

I have total craft ADD and my favorite types of projects tend to change. I love painting, cartooning, making jewelry, making mini books, and papier mache the most.

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

I wish I could learn to sew and love it.

Who are your crafting heroes?

I like Mark Montano, author of the Big Ass Book of Crafts, and Traci Bunkers, author of Art Journal Revolution. Anyone on Pinterest who does these incredible projects that I've tried and failed, LOL. Cosplayers who create awesome costumes.
