How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

Searching on Google for some projects. I loved the idea of a community of crafters.

What projects are you currently working on?

I'm working on a triptic, three fabric pictures for baby twins with the names of Winter and Fox. I'm working on them telling a story with a fox and winter theme. I'm also working on another mermaid snuggie.

What does your craft space look like?

I have a 3/4 glazed ground floor room, just off my kitchen. The view is of part of my back garden. So very seasonal. Everything is in easy reach from my chair. From my tool box to paintbrushes. I have my gran's fantastic trunk, I'm sure I could climb in, by my fabric hoarde is in there and the lid barely shuts as it is. Every bit of space is packed with resources. Including a large collection of craft books. I love words and these are shown in the simple mobiles hanging from the ceiling. Inspirational quotes are my favourite. I even created the pompom lampshade.

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

Fabric and my sewing machine are the most regularly used items in my craft space. I do however work on journals and sketchbooks for school here as well.

What do you craft along to?

Music is a must. I love whizzing away to music. Arctic Monkeys is a bit of a favourite at the moment.

Favorite Craft

During the day I tend to sew.I'm working on fabric art at the moment. Taking a photo and using fabrics to recreate them. At night in front of the TV I crochet. I've been making mermaid tails at the moment. I think I can do these in my sleep now. They are so popular with my friends.

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

I'd love to do some more on lino cut printmaking. Luckily I have a friend here who is quite an expert.

Who are your crafting heroes?

Obviously Crafterella! I love getting the emails when a project has been published. Martha Stewart, I have a couple of her books. And just about anyone I've ever saved on Pinterest, I'm sure I'll get through the thousands of pins (eventually).
