Featured Member Interview
How did you find CO+K and why did you join?
I found it by accident on the internet, and thought it looked quite interesting.
What projects are you currently working on?
I am always working on knit and crochet designs, with usually 5 or more works in the queue. But the last few days, I have been designing Christmas Ornaments using paper tubes from paper towels.

What does your craft space look like?
I don't really have a designated crafting space, so I store my multiple
supplies throughout my house, wherever I can find a space. I usually like to work in my kitchen, somewhere near the sink, for quick wash-up.
My computer room does house many supplies, such as my yarn stash, beading supplies, paints and glue, etc.
(I will email some photos, not sure if you will want to use them though.)
Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?
I really don't have one specific item that I use the most, except perhaps my glue gun. It is pretty much indispensable to me, because it is so instant, and speeds along my craft-making!
What do you craft along to?
I love it very quiet when I am crafting. No distractions, because for the most part, I am making it up as I go along.
Emi's Most Popular Projects
Favorite Craft
I am a multi-medium crafter. While I do enjoy designing knitting and crochet patterns, I also like to get my hands into paint, and glue, and come up with whatever pops into my mind. I am pretty relaxed when crafting, so I don't usually follow traditional rules, and I love making my own concoctions for crafting, such as air dry clay, crackle finishes, and substitutes for supplies I would have to purchase, especially if I can find a way to recycle and use something that might end up in the trash!
Emi's Top Crafts
If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?
I can't say there is anything particular at the moment, because over the years I have had my hands in so many different crafts, that I have by now tried all the ones that are of interest to me. I have done:
Ukrainian Painted Eggs,
Pottery,
Papier Mache Sculptures,
Wreath making,
Many paper crafts,
Knitting,
Crochet,
Weaving,
Fimo Clay designs,
Soft Figure Sculptures,
Cardmaking,
Hand made papers,
and many more.
Who are your crafting heroes?
I always enjoyed watching Carol Duval, Martha Stewart, and Aleene's Creative Living show on T.V.
