How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

I was searching the net for tutorials when I stumbled upon CO+K. I knew I had to join as soon as I saw all the amazing projects.

What projects are you currently working on?

At the moment I’ve got a few unposted projects I made as gifts for Christmas and I have a Slothicorn (sloth-unicorn) backpack in the works along with a few odds and ends.

What does your craft space look like?

My crafting space is usually wherever I am at the moment: sitting on the floor, at my desk, in the dining room. My ‘official’ craft space is probably my desk in my room. It’s cramped and unorganised but perfect for me.

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

Scissors and a really rusted old pair of pliers.

What do you craft along to?

I love to craft to music, mostly rock from across the years, and an assortment of Sci-Fi TV shows like Firefly, Supernatural, Stargate, The Walking Dead and Lost Girl.

Favorite Craft

I like all sorts of crafts, especially cooking, cross stitching, makeup and jewellery making. I also like fancying up shoes. My favourite things to make are gifts for friends and family. When it’s for someone else I get the motivation to finish things on a deadline and I get to make things I may not make for myself.

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

I would really like to learn dressmaking. I can imagine myself one day owning a wardrobe full of my own creations. It would also be great to finally expand my knowledge of crocheting.

Who are your crafting heroes?

My Grandma; when walking around my Grandad’s or my house, my parents can always point out items my Grandma had made and my Mum always tells me how she would have loved to teach me all her crafty ways. Unfortunately she died when I was a baby, but whenever I look at things she’s made, it inspires me to make things. And also my Mum, who can cook pretty much anything, and my Dad, being a carpenter/joiner/cabinet maker by trade, who can make anything he gets in his head.
