How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

I found CO+K many, many years ago looking for either a bracelet tutorial, or a shirt refashion tutorial [the things I do most], and stumbled upon this wonderful website thanks to google. I joined mainly so I could favorite the tutorials I found awesome, and then I figured, hey, why not do some of my own?

What projects are you currently working on?

I just opened a new etsy store for my writing-related crafts, so I've been hard at work trying to think of things to put in it and make.

What does your craft space look like?

I recently bought a new desk from a yard sale so I went from a coffee table and sitting on my floor, to a normal chair and wonderful vintage desk. I have my typewriter (Brother Charger 11) on one side, and my larger bead container and extras on the other. One side of the desk holds my beading supplies, the middle drawer has my looms, and the other side has my paints/notebooks/blank t-shirts.

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

A needle, for sure. Even off the loom, I use it to make twisted bracelets, revamp tees, and fix anything that needs fixing with a needle.

What do you craft along to?

Spotify. I have a playlist with around 200 songs, varying in genre and artist, that I will put on and turn all the way up. And, of course, I sing my heart out.

Favorite Craft

This question is a little more difficult to answer since I do so many different things, but it would probably be what I started with...looming. I have 3 beading looms that I make bracelets with. I love it because I can design it however I want, from looking like a plug and outlet, to Mario with the mushrooms. It's a very good time waster and is very relaxing.

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

Metal stamping. I've bought all the tools for it, but I'm afraid to mess up or something go wrong. I've been diving into google and CO+K for tutorials, and ideas, for beginners so I can test the water first. I love the look of hand stamped necklaces and I'd really love to start making some for friends and family.

Who are your crafting heroes?

Everyone that has the time and perseverance to conquer the daunting task of starting a craft. Whether it be making the first cut on a newly bought yard of fabric, or hoping the stamp doesn't skip on your metal blank, anyone who can point to something and say "I made that", is my hero.
