When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?
I have always loved cooking, I remember asking my parents if I could prepare the salads when we had BBQ's. When I was old enough I would be in the kitchen helping my mum with the food while pretending that I had my own cooking show on telly.
What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?
My kitchen is quite small and I do try my best to keep organised while cooking but something that's just not possible. Organised chaos is what I like to call it.
What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?
Start simple, follow recipes and once you feel confidant and comfortable in the kitchen, start to experiment. Use your senses and just have fun with it.
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?
Wow that's a tough one, never really thought about it before. I would probably invite people who I admire for their hard work and passion against animal cruelty. And because they would be so much fun around a dinner table. Pamela Anderson, P!nk, Joey Carbstrong, James Aspey, Leonardo Dicaprio, David Attenborough and all my family and friends. I would start of with a miso soup and Thai spiced crumbed tofu fingers with a chilly dip, and because I would be cooking for so many I would also make some mini nori rolls. For main course I would make a refreshing soba noodle salad bowl with greens, served with a orange, soya and sesame seed oil dressing. For dessert, to compliment the fresh flavours I would make a raw vegan raspberry and lemon cheezcake.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I do love being in the kitchen so I'm always creating something in there but I also enjoy painting on canvas and painting mandala cushion covers or tote bags. I also enjoy making dream catchers and crystal mobiles. This year I've also been focused on my health and fitness so enjoying walking and running (trying) when I can and being out in nature.
Which cooking blogs do you love to read?
The Little blog of Vegan, RawBeet, From My Bowl and Obviously Vegan and The Nutritional Pod
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
