Tell us a bit about your home and what you love about it the most?
My home is in a near-constant state of needing to be organized, but I love it because the people I love are always there: my wife and my dog Samson (definitely a person if you ask me!). It's quiet, warm, and comfortable.
What was the first DIY project you did to your home or first thing you made for it?
We moved into our current house almost three years ago, and the first thing we did was to paint the craft room! I wasn't used to having so much space for our hobbies, and it continues to be lovely to have a dedicated area just for making.
Do you have any tips for staying tidy & organised?
One of my favorite tips is if it takes five minutes to do, do it now. For example, if there are just a few dishes in the sink, washing them right away (when you have five minutes). It's a way of preventing things from ever even making it to the to-do list (which, if yours is anything like mine, is long enough already!).
If you could tour any celebrities home, who would it be?
Definitely Martha Stewart. Her home must be incredible, not to mention I'm sure she'd be a lovely hostess.
If you had three wishes, what changes would you make to your home?
I would fence in our yard (we rent currently, so that's not a change we can make), strip all the bright red countertops out of the kitchen, and buy new furniture -- especially a new sofa!
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I keep a running list of craft ideas and projects I want to do for my blog, but I also love knitting -- especially while binge-watching TV. I'm working on a series of sweaters now for some upcoming birthdays. I also love taking long walks with the dog, cooking and baking, spending time with family, and traveling with my wife.
