When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?
The first recipe has to have been my mom's brownie recipe, and I can't have been any older than 6 or 7. She would let us mix up the batter, and then she would take over for the actual baking.
What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?
My kitchen would be more than adequate for someone who is only casually interested in cooking. It has a huge refrigerator and a small kitchen island, and plenty of room to move around in, but I'm still running out of space to store my pans and ingredients. They have taken over a small bedroom.
What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?
Watch video tutorials. There are so many techniques that you can only really learn by seeing them done.
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?
I would invite Nami from Just One Cookbook, and I would cook Japanese dishes and desserts and she could critique them. I want to be able to make souffle pancakes so much, but I can never get them right!
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I also write fantasy novels! If you are interested, my wattpad username is @lemonycakes. I am also into gardening, knitting, crochet, and sewing.
Which cooking blogs do you love to read?
I love so many blogs! Love and Olive Oil and Half Baked Harvest always have such imaginative recipes. I also follow Just One Cookbook for Japanese recipes and the Woks of Life for Chinese recipes.
