When did you first start getting crafty and creative with fashion?
I have made clothes since I was about 7, although those were for my toys. I started sewing for myself in high school when I was about 14. Lots of craft adventures and mishaps later, here I am! DIY and upcycling is not only a hobby but a more eco-friendly way of enjoying fashion.
Who are your favorite fashionistas and designers?
I love Toni Maticevski's most recent collection and Valentino has been amazing lately too. I don't have any favourite fashionistas really, but I love checking out street snaps - Miroslava Duma is always interesting and Iris Apfel is probably my all-time favourite. All those accessories!
What are your ultimate style tips?
Don't follow trends - unless you genuinely like them and they suit you. Experiment to see what you feel comfortable wearing (one reason I shop at op shops - so I can play around with my style on the cheap!).
If you could borrow one thing from a celebrities wardrobe, what & who would you choose?
I don't really follow celebrities but anyone with good hair gets my attention as my own is baby-fine and the bane of my existence!
Which fashion blogs do you love to read?
A Pair and a Spare, Tales of Endearment and my friends' blogs here in Melbourne, including Esme and the Laneway, Cecylia.com, Recycled-Fashion.com and iolanthegabrie.com
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
DIY and blogging take up most of my spare time - otherwise I'm out looking through op shops or flea markets to find my next project!
