Tell us a bit about your home and what you love about it the most?
We live in a 1950's mid-century modern that hadn't been touched since it was built. We recently gutted all of the bathrooms and added an upstairs to the back half. I love that we live a block from our elementary school so we can walk to and from and usually bring a pack of kids home with us. Filling our home with school and neighborhood kids and their giggles is the best!
What was the first DIY project you did to your home or first thing you made for it?
Demo-ed the kitchen and added a HUGE chalkboard wall to our dining room.
Do you have any tips for staying tidy & organised?
I tell my boys that everything has a place. It helps keeps things tidy. I love the Dollar Tree for inexpensive plastic bins. They are all over our house - from the playroom and kitchen to the garage.
If you could tour any celebrities home, who would it be?
Kate Moss. Her personal style is amazing, so I'd love to see what she does to her home.
If you had three wishes, what changes would you make to your home?
1. A bigger backyard. 2. a new fence. 3. a wheelchair lift for our stairs so that my Mom could come live with us. (we lost my Dad this past summer to Leukemia and it's been really tough.)
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I craft for my blog all the time and try to craft with my boys. I'd love to get them interested in sewing. I try to promote it as a machine with a motor, but they still prefer sports. I also love doing little projects around the home that cost nothing yet make big impact. Spray paint and my hot glue gun are some of my go to tools.
