When did you first start crafting and how did you learn?
I have drawn a lot, created with my hands and wanted to try new artistic horizons since childhood. I learned the work of guitar making, marquetery, wood curving in art school.
Can you remember the first thing you made?
Yes of course, it was a very small wooden cupboard, the size of a doll's house... It was a project in elementary school, It made me laugh a lot at the time. My parents still have it and I always smile when I see it in their home.
Where do you look for inspiration?
Everywhere, the whole world is a source of inspiration, everything around us is interesting to look at with an artistic eye.I would not want to limit myself in the field of artistic possibilities, there are too many good ideas everywhere that are worth looking at.
What's your craft space like and how do you organize your supplies?
My workspace is very small, it consists of a wooden sideboard measuring 80cm x 50cm and 100cm high. I only have use for white, black and all kinds of coloured paper, a scalpel and its blades (for the blades however I need a lot of stock in advance), a cutting board and sometimes some scootch and a ruler, some pencils, brushes and gold/silver/copper leaf, and wood veneer sheet.
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to craft along to?
I listen to a lot of music on headphones, I love that, I could live with music all the time, this is where I draw the maximum of my energy to create. I am sometimes surprised by the amount of different albums I can listen to in a day of "creation".
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I have been playing the guitar since 2001. I played in 2 music bands for 12 years. I like photography very much, even though I am a total novice in this field, I especially like astro-photography. I also have a passion for palaeontology and collect fossils from all periods.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Very happy to have been able to participate in this unique experience, thank you very much to the whole team of Cut Out and Keep!
