When did you first start getting crafty and creative with fashion?
I’ve always had a creative side, even as a little child, but I first started to get really intesrested in sewing and other crafts when I was in my early teens. Then, in high school, the interest really blossomed into a passion that’s been flaming ever since.
Who are your favorite fashionistas and designers?
There are so many talented ladies on the interent with inspirational blogs. My latest favorite fashionistas are Signe from Signeroo, Eva-Maria from Lost in the wardrobe, and Kaylee from Kaylee Daily. I love many independent designers like Minkie from Minx Shop, Katrin from Eight Seasons, and the dynamic duo behind CORIUMI.
What are your ultimate style tips?
I believe style is first and foremost about expressing yourself and having fun with that. My top tip would be to try different things and not be afraid to change your style, or try something you didn’t think would be your thing. We all grow and evolve, so it’s only fitting that our style also changes. You don’t need to go along with every new trend that come along. Trends come and go, but finding your own unique style is what makes you stand out from the crowed. If you feel confident and like yourself in your clothing, that confidence will shine from you and make you more pretty than any super modern/fashionable/trendy piece of clothing that you don’t feel comfortable in could ever make you.
If you could borrow one thing from a celebrities wardrobe, what & who would you choose?
I’m not a big celebrity style stalker, but I do love Emma Watson’s style. I’d love to go through her wardrobe and steal one of her gorgeous dresses.
Which fashion blogs do you love to read?
Signeroo, Lost in the wardrobe, Wendy’s Lookbook
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I do all sorts of crafts – knitting, jewelry making, home DIYs, but my all time favorite is still sewing.
