When did you first start sewing and how did you learn?
I first learned to sew as a part of my Senior Project in high school. Everything I know I learned from my very talented mother who has over 45 years of sewing experience.
Can you remember the first thing you made?
The first thing I made was a lot of mistakes. After that, I made a simple two-piece knit blouse, and then I made a really darling dress that buttoned up the back! I was so proud.
Do you have any favourite pattern designers or celebrity sewers?
I love Victory, Colette and vintage Vogue patterns.
What's your sewing room like and how do you organize your stash?
I am lucky to have a spare bedroom that I use for an office, closet, photography space & sewing room. It's simple, organized and where I spend a lot of my time!
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?
I'm currently trying to learn spanish so I listen to the podcast "Coffee Break Espanol" while I sew.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I've recently been interested in simple embroidery and some paper crafts. In addition to sewing, I also love photography and reading!
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Thank you for featuring me!
