Tell us a bit about your home and what you love about it the most?
My home is on the "downsize" side of life and is a one story brick house. It suits our "empty nest" life style well and is big enough without being too big. We bought it when it was about 15 years old and in need of redecorating so we were able to change all the wall colors and floors to colors that we liked.
What was the first DIY project you did to your home or first thing you made for it?
One of the first projects I did to improve the look of the home was to mortar wash the outside of the brick house. Mortar washing is putting a thin coat of colored brick mortar over the entire surface of the brick. It gives the brick exterior a unified color with a little variation since each brick takes up the mortar a little differently. It totally changed the look of the house in a good way.
Do you have any tips for staying tidy & organised?
Have company over as often as possible. It will make you clean and straighten up your house.

Change the carport into an enclosed garage
Change the layout of the master bathroom
Make the patio area larger
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I like to make wreaths and decorative items for my home decor and change out accessories with the seasons.
