When did you first start getting crafty and creative with fashion?
I have always loved making things but I didn't get serious about it until about 12 years ago when I started to upcycle my clothes. I love trying out and exploring new techniques, and it is really satisfying when things go the way you want it. If things do go wrong, it's always a good learning point in a making journey!
Who are your favorite fashionistas and designers?
I admire people who are able to transform textile waste into something completely different even if it is through the use of techniques like repair. Currently, I'm a fan of Orsola de Castro and Viktor+Rolfe where the latter recently did a brilliant collection made from textile remnants and inspired by the Japanese repair method of kintsuge.
What are your ultimate style tips?
Don't be afraid to be yourself - there's no need to follow trends.
If you could borrow one thing from a celebrities wardrobe, what & who would you choose?
I love what Marion Cottilard wears, so anything from her wardrobe please!
Which fashion blogs do you love to read?
Charity Shop Chic, Kindness By Design, Recycled Fashion, Little Did You Know.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
Apart from sewing I love exploring eco prints and natural dyes, sketching and reading!
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Nil :)
