When did you first start getting crafty and creative with fashion?
Back in high school when my mom helped me learn how to sew on a machine. I had found a skirt in a shop that I loved, but when we went back to buy it, it was sold out. Mom took me to pick out fabrics and pattern. She showed me how to alter the pattern, follow the instructions, and sew the skirt. That started the need to sew clothing and accessories, and got a degree in fashion design.
Who are your favorite fashionistas and designers?
I'm inspired by Stevie Nicks, artists, and nature. My favorite fashion designers are Betsey Johnson, Anna Sui, Dolce and Gabbana, Red Valentino, Mary Katrantzou, Lisa Perry, Kate Spade, Erin Fetherston, Alice +Olivia, Alexander McQueen, and Mara Hoffman.
What are your ultimate style tips?
Be yourself, and you'll be the most comfortable. I might be comfortable in lace, velvet, and chiffon, but someone else might only be comfortable in cotton or knits...I love those too. With that being said, sometime it's good to step out of your comfort zone and try a different style than you're used to. I wear a lot of costumes that are much different than my daily wear. Dress up and have fun doing it.
If you could borrow one thing from a celebrities wardrobe, what & who would you choose?
I would raid Kat Von D's wardrobe. She has amazing shoes, which she shares photos of on Instagram. It would be hard to pick one pair.

I love reading Honestly...WTF, Advanced Style, The Crafty Chica, Sincerely Kinsey, Mr. Kate, Keiko Lynn, Lisa Freemont Street, Pixie in Pumps, Miss Kris, Tom and Lorenzo, and Sly and Sam.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I love painting, photography, and singing. I try to blend my creative loves together if possible.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I love inspiring others to create. Style doesn't need to be expensive, but it does need to be your own. You can get inspiration from anything, but if you have a mental block, go take a walk, a weekend trip somewhere, or to a museum...just get out of your normal environment. I love reenergizing by going to the beach with my family and enjoying the calm. I bring my camera and a good book.
