When did you first start sewing and how did you learn?
I learnt in high school. My crafty mum has a complete sewing aversion but saw that I loved sewing and bought a machine for me to use at home.
Can you remember the first thing you made?
A pair of shorts – which were probably terrible but I was amazed you could actually make things yourself.
Do you have any favourite pattern designers or celebrity sewers?
I do have a secret Tula Pink crush – I adore her fabric designs and the way she uses colour.
What's your sewing room like and how do you organize your stash?
Usually chaos. I swing between supreme organization, like my fabric filing cabinet, and creative sessions that see fabric, stuffing and threads strewn all over the place.
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?
I used to love CraftyPod and re-runs of sex in the city. Lately I’ve been listening to Smart People Podcast which is fascinating.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I love cross stitch and cooking, I’ve also been getting back into running on the beach.
