How would you describe your style and who are your style icons?
Oh man, my style changes pretty frequently depending on my mood. I go through phases, sometimes I'm a rocker, sometimes I'm a bohemian princess, most times I'm a lazy bum in sweats and shirt haha! My biggest style icon is a mix between Gwen Stefani and Emma Watson, sorta random I know. I love Gwen's punk edge and Emma's feminine style. Basically I love wearing dresses with combat boots, I'm that person. Comfy, unique and fun!
What's in your everyday make-up bag?
My make-up bag changes everyday because I love to switch it up and try new products. Mascaras are my favorite thing to try, they always are first in innovation with new formulas and new applicators, I think it's so fun! My favs at the moment are Maybelline Falsies and Tarte's Light, Camera Flashes, both of those are amazing! A few more things I always keep with me, are light moisturizers, some sort of lip product, usually a lip pencil, and a highlighter!
What is your beauty routine like?
I wake up, get coffee, usually watch some Youtube videos or go to Instagram to get inspired for my make-up that day. I always start by cleansing my face. I use Philosophy Purity cleanser and that is like my holy grail cleanser, its awesome!! After cleansing I'll tone with Witch Hazel and then switch up my moisturizer by either using Tarte's Maracuja Oil or using a cream moisturizer. If I have the time I'll let the moisturizer sink in while I finish my coffee. Then before I start my actual make-up I always turn on Pandora and get amped up for the day! I switch between S Club 7 and Motion City Soundtrack stations, very diverse haha. Then start with my Foundation, concealers and powder. My eye make-up changes on a daily basis, depending on what I'm wearing, how I'm feeling and how much time I have when I'm getting ready.
If you could makeover a celebrity, who would it be and what look would you give them?
Ariana Grande, hands down! She wears the same look every single day and I just want to play around with some color on her lid or fun lipsticks! Also I would totally get her hair out of that pony tail and give her a Lob or curls just to break it up a bit.
Any tips for someone wanting to mix up their look?
Even though I change my look constantly I am always looking around to get inspired. A lot of inspiration comes from Instagram and social media. I love seeing pictures of some awesome make-up with crazy colors or new techniques, it really gets my brain thinking outside the box and makes me want to play! So my advice would be to look around and find something that really inspires you. Maybe its the color of the sunset or the way someone did their lipstick and then sit down in front of your make-up and let your creativity go wild. I have my best ideas for make-up at night when I just let myself go crazy and I have that extra time to practice and experiment. Never stop learning from other people and never stop practicing!
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
Yes! I love doing random DIY crafts, they're so much fun and really get my creativity going. For my wedding last year I did a lot of DIY projects. Besides make-up I love being outdoors and going to the beach or going hiking. Anything that can get me breathing the outside air (even though that might not be the healthiest air to breath here in LA) I'm all about. I love watching movies and going out to new bars with my husband and friends. We're big craft beer lovers so we love to try new brewers.
