I didn't want to sew, but found that by cutting diagonally the fabric frays a little, but it just looks like short fringe. Also, I didn't cut out the triangles completely--only cut them up to the bias edge & used the bias instead of a ribbon, then tied little bells in the 1/2" gaps between each. I glued the felt letters, holly, mistletoe and oak leaves on the fabric, then traced each in glue & glitter. I had to find the images, cut them out, trace them onto the felt then cut them out. I must have been inspired, because it all flowed quite naturally without the usual frustration. Thanks to whomever posted the original banner in gingham. It was very helpful. Happy Yule!
