I finished my first pair of wrist warmers. I imagine I’ll be needing them this winter. I sure could have used a pair last winter. Our offices get cold as heck after the weekends because the walls are s thick. They don’t warm up until Thursday or Friday. I have a feeling they should be embellished in some way, but I don’t know in what way yet. So I decided to show them off as they are. They can be worn all the way up, or scrunched down. I’m sure cylinders would work, but I wanted them fitted. So that’s how I made them. I rarely use a pattern when I knit, so I didn’t this time either. But I've reconstructed the pattern. All these numbers have to be adjusted to fit your hand. Yarn: Sandnesgarn Perfect Needle(s): #3

Start by casting on 48 stitches on a needle. Either a round needle or straight one.If yu use straight needles, divide 12 on each of four needles. Knit 6 rounds of ribbed knitting with two straight and two purl stitches. Knit 17 straight rounds. Decrease by four, one on the end of each needle. Knit 17 straight rounds. Knit 6 ribbed rounds with two straight and two purl stitches. On the last round you cast off loosely. Thumb: Pick up the ten stitches you put on the safety pin. Knit 7 ribbed rounds with two straight and two purl stitches. On the last round you cast off loosely. You may have to close a gap or two by sewing them up afterward. Weave in the ends and you're done! I did a blog post on these, and I'll publish more pictures there when I've decided on the embellishment.
