About
Easy to make dress for summer time!
Maybe there are some of these here but anyway, this is my version:)
I hope the pictures in the How-to are good enough but I'll put very detailed instruction. Feel free to ask if you are in doubt!

Step 1
Buy a man's work shirt. Not too big so the shoulders won't look funny. For example I'm size 12 so I got a Large shirt. Shirt that size is very big on me so it leaves room for cutting and things but still fits nicely on the shoulders.
So, yes, step one, cut of the sleeves. I cut them in diagonal way, to get a nicer look for the sleeves, see next step. -
Step 4
Sew each "line" but as said before, do it from the inside, then when you turn it around, you'll have subtle lines at the back. On the inside you should have 1 cm of fabric standing out from each line.
I hope step 3 and 4 are detailed enough, it's a very simple procedure, I'm just struggling explaining it. Just ask if something is unclear:)

Step 5
The final steps are basically just a good guess. Put the shirt on and use tailor's chalk to mark where your waist is (hopefully seen in this picture as a red dot). Then just estimate how much you can tighten it on both sides.
Then I start the sewing a little bit in the sleeve line to tighten them and make them a little less flappy.
Then just slowly start sewing and aim inside for the waistline dot and then when you reach that, start going out again because we want the waistline bit to be the tightest.
And when you have done that on both sides, voila! you have a lovely work shirt dress to go with leggings or tight jeans! I like using belts with mine.
