Raw Wool or Wool Roving
Thin out the roving and place a plastic egg in the center.
Wrap it around a plastic Easter Egg
Tuck in the end of the wool to secure
Add warm, soapy water and with your hands, gently work the water all the way into the fiber. The wool will be very loose and slippery at first but will firm up the more you work it.
Add yarn for decoration (optional) and keep working the egg until the fibers hold together fairly well.
Repeat with more eggs. Then, pop each egg in a length of nylon pantyhose, secure it with a knot and run them through a washing machine cycle. Carefully, remove the eggs from the hose and let them dry completely.
