Go out and find yourself a wooden palate. Take your crowbar and prise the wood apart. Be careful not to break the wood.
Using your saw, cut the lengths of wood from the palate to the height you want your table to be. You will need four 'legs' of equal length. I made mine about 1/2m long.
Next take your rectangles of wood. These should be of equal size. They will become the top and base of your table.
The wood from the packing crate might be a bit rough. So, I would recommend that you sand it down.
Now for decopage! Take your magazines and cut out photos that you like. Using the PVA glue, stick these all over the table top and base. I also added some on each leg of the table. Have fun and do whatever you think looks good.
Once you are happy with the result, wait for them so dry and cover with a layer of varnish. Repeat this step until you are happy with the finish. Remember- wait for the varnish to dry inbetween each coat.
Once everything is dry, take the table top and nail the packing crate to the side. The table should be level with the top of the packing crate 'leg'. The packing crate 'leg' will be on the side not underneath. Repeat this with all four legs.
Repeat step 7 but with the base.
Voila! Your new coffee table is ready for use. Enjoy.
