found this little blue dresser on the street, kept meaning to fix it up, all the while it got more beat up. there were no less than 4 layer of paint- very hard to strip. i used a combination of hand scraping, hand planing, chemical stripper (the 'eco friendly' type), and more sanding. since i was running out of the dark gray color, i decided to make it last by adding some white primer- and the gradient is born! i mixed the grays in an inexact way, but happy with how they turned out. since this is an outdoor piece, i painted the inside and out, to help minimize water/ moisture damage, and lifted it onto small plastic feet (up out of the water).
