It's one of the most beautiful and classic makeup looks and one that I get asked about the most: the winged eyeliner! I hope to make it as easy as possible for you with these instructions - just remember: this is one of the things where practice definitely makes perfect ;) P.S.: It's easier to try this at first with a GEL eyeliner, because you have more control over it (but liquid or pencil are just as fine too!)
1. For beginners it is best to start with a naked eye without eyeshadow (just a primer or foundation) to make it easier to clean up if you make a little mistake! Draw a line in short strokes along your lashes and make it thinner at first, because you can always make it bigger later if you like! (My line is a little bit thicker at this point already cause I like it that way) ;)
2. This is the tricky part, just take your time! Place the brush at the corner of your eye and try to extend the line of your lower lash line - that's how you get the right angle for the perfect wing.
3. The way I like to do this step is by placing the brush at the end of the wing and while looking down in my mirror (important!!) drawing a pretty straight line back to my lashes. Once you open the eyes, the line appears slightly curved.
4. Fill in the gaps, smooth out the top part and now you can make your liner bigger if you like or just leave it the way it is.
5. If you made a mistake or the liner turned out thicker than you wanted it to be (this happens to all of us at some point), just take a bit of concealer or foundation on a flat brush and clean it up!
6. Add Mascara and maybe some false lashes and you're done!
