I was super excited when we bought our first succulents but I just couldn't let them sit in boring terracotta pots so I HAD to do something! It's not a big change but I think it makes a big difference.

Mask of your pot to the line you want the paint to stop. Make sure it is stuck down well to avoid any paint bleeding under the tape.
Paint the top and inside of your pot. Choosing a paint for this project is important. It needs to be waterproof. I'm using a water based high gloss enamel paint called "Splash" from White Knight. You might need to apply a few coats. Make sure you are happy with the coverage before you remove your tape.
Once the paint is dry you can peel back your tape and check out your awesome new pot.
Fill your beautiful new pots with some pretty plants. Succulents are my fav right now (just like the rest of the world...) I just love that they are SUPER low maintenance. No one in my house has a green thumb so they are the perfect fit for us. :)
