Welsh Rarebit

Cheese on toast with stout, mustard and pickles!

You will need

2 tbsp Wholegrain Mustard 50 g Butter 50 g Flour 300 g Cheddar Cheese plus extra to sprinkle 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce 8 Slices of Bread 250 ml Stout Salt and Black Pepper Pickles to serve

Instructions

1. 

   Place the cheese, flour, mustard, butter, stout and Worcestershire sauce in a pan and heat gently until it begins to melt.

2. 

   Stir the sauce constantly, stopping to taste and season to your liking.

3. 

   Spread the tops of the bread with the sauce and sprinkle with some more cheddar.

4. 

   Place under a hot grill and cook until the cheese begins to bubble and turn golden.

5. 

   Serve with a few slices of pickle.
