These are traditionally served on St Davids Day.
Sift the flour, baking powder & mixed spice together.
Rub in the butter until breadcrumbs.
Stir in the sugar.
Add the egg & milk to form a soft dough.
Add the fruit & press in to combine.
Roll out the dough to 1/3" thick. Cut into small 3" circles.
Heat a pan & cook for a few mins on each side. Until golden brown & cooked through in the centre.
Serve warm, sprinkled with sugar.
