There were so many complicated ways to make this cane so I decided to do it my way. Sorry about the bad pictures and the long steps. Ask away if you have any questions. ENJOY!

For the inside: Mix red and translucent clay I mixed about 70% red and 30% translucent, add red to translucent slowly until you get the shade you like.
Make a small cylinder out of your mixed clay.
Make a long, skinny snake out of black clay, and cut it according to the length of your cylinder. These will be the seeds.
Place the black snakes on the cylinder, place as many as you'd like.
Cover the cylinder with a layer of your mixed clay.
Again make a long skinny black snake and cut several snakes according to the length of your cylinder. Place them on your cylinder.
Again cover your cylinder with your mixed clay.
If you'd like you can add a layer of a lighter red to add some color contrast. I mixed translucent clay and a bit of red.
To make the outside you can cover the cylinder with just green. Or you could make two snakes with a lighter green and green.
Cut the snakes according to the length of the cylinder or just place a green layer over your cylinder. Don't worry about the snakes not touching as you roll your cylinder to lengthen it, the sides of the snakes will eventually touch.
TADA!!!! Now just roll your cylinder until you get your desired size. If your clay got too soft, stick it in the fridge for a few minutes before you slice open your cane. **Bake according to directions. (Sculpey 275 degress for 15 mins)
