Instructions

Before getting started, place a thick sheet of cardboard in between the two layers of the pillow case to keep the colors from bleeding through to the back of the pillow. Then, draw simple geometric shapes onto a plain white pillow case with colored markers. Make sure the pillow case has been ironed and the markers are not permanent.

Afterwards, simply add a few drops of rubbing alcohol.

Watch the colors blend into one another and spread across the fabric creating a watercolor effect.

It helps to place a drawing of the motif underneath the top layer of the pillow case. This also makes it easier to figure out the placing of the motif. However, I find it looks best if you try not to ovethink it and the two layers don't line up perfectly.

Lastly, iron once more to set all the colors. Have a seat and make yourself at home!
