This was my first attempt at water marbling. I wanted Christmas colors, but all I had was pink and sheer green =/ Blah. But it went well! The key to not making a huge globby mess of yourself is to give the polish time to become a bit tacky, and once you've actually stuck your nail into the "sheet" of polish, not to move it too much, and to definitely NOT pull your finger up at all! If anything, stick it way down in the water. You'll have more to clean, but your nail will be safely painted. Gently blow on the free sheet around your finger to dry it, and with your free hand carefully swirl it up. It should break away from your finger. If it doesn't, give it more time. Then carefully use a q tip dipped in nail polish remover to clean your cuticle and finger.
