I broke the glass in the face of my favourite watch (I love the chunky leather strap) and was told it would cost more to replace than the watch did! I also have a digital casio (yay old school) with the worlds most annoying clasp, any wild gesticulating and it flies off .... so I used both unusable watches to make one FAB time piece. I've made a Jesus watch before, using those beaded bracelets as a strap and I bought a watch face that had Jesus on ... might add it later if I can find it.

find your two watches ... one still needs to be working (telling the time) and the other needs to have a fab strap
Take the face off of the strap ... they are normally attached by pins. I had some trouble with the pins on the broken faced watched so just snipped them (with a lot more effort than that implied) with some jewellery tools
But make sure you don't break the pins of the working watch face ... you'll need those to attach it to the strap!
And with a little more fiddly work, attach the working face to its new strap ... et voila! two time pieces become one. (and if you've noticed the times, I hadn't set it at the beginning, it didn't take me several hours, I promise.)
