This project is inspired by the glitter tube bracelets that children often make in art class or summer camp. Bring in some delicate beads and vinyl tubing from the hardware store, and you’ll be well on your way to creating a grown-up, chic version.

Cut a length of the thin tubing that is slightly longer than your wrist measurement. Cut a 3⁄4 in (2 cm) piece of the wide tubing.
Attach the smaller piece to one end of the thin tubing.
Tape off the opposite end.
Carefully insert beads into the tube.
Continue until the entire tube is filled.
To close up the bracelet, remove the tape and join the opposite end into the smaller tube.
Tie a bow around the join and trim the excess ribbon. For extra security, add a dab of glue inside the bow’s center.
