Instructions

  1. Small 115835 2f2017 02 07 214906 img 4773

To make your earrings, you'll need some shrink plastic. If you want to be traditional use black, but feel free to get creative and use any kind you like. Mine had stars printed on it!

  2. Small 115835 2f2017 02 07 214820 img 4772

Trace around your circle template onto the shrink plastic twice.

  3. Small 115835 2f2017 02 07 214942 img 4775

    Cut these circles out.

  4. Small 115835 2f2017 02 07 215003 img 4776

Punch a hole into the middle of each circle.

  5. Small 115835 2f2017 02 07 215026 img 4781

Use the pointed edge of a compass to etch grooves around the circles like a record.

  6. Small 115835 2f2017 02 07 215101 img 4782

Heat in the oven until shrunk and flatten with a heavy book.

  7. Small 115835 2f2017 02 07 215119 img 4784

Cut small circles from paper or foil to make your mini records labels and stick onto the records.

  8. Small 115835 2f2017 02 07 215222 img 4785

Use the end of the compass to pierce the holes back in the middle.

  9. Small 115835 2f2017 02 07 215237 img 4786

Glue the earring studs onto the back of your records.

  10. Small 115835 2f2017 02 07 215318 img 4788

    Leave to dry.
